Errol's Story
Errol was born in Constantia, a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. He began running in his teens and was quickly hooked onto marathons. With discipline and grit he won the South African Defense Force Marathon in his best time of 2:32, qualifying him for the South African National Championship Marathon.
Throughout Errol's running career, he ran 111 marathons, including 20 Boston Marathons, 17 ultra marathons, and a number of unofficial races. The Boston Marathon course was particularly special to him, earning it's spot as Errol's 100th marathon in 2017.
On February 9, 2021, Errol passed away due to a sudden and fatal heart attack, begging the question: how can someone so fit with such a strong heart pass from a heart attack? Our goal is to ensure that Errol's story doesn't end here.
